D-SNP
Special Needs plans (SNPs) are a type of Medicare Advantage plan intended for people diagnosed with select conditions or diseases, or folks with low incomes. It can be difficult to have a condition that requires a lot of healthcare and equally hard to pay for this care on a fixed or low income. That’s why Lacayo Group Insurance is here to support qualifying individuals with extra benefits and provider networks suited for their special needs.
Who Is Eligible for a Dual-Eligible SNP?
You can enroll if you’re eligible for Medicare Part A and enrolled in Part B AND Florida Medicaid. To be eligible for Medicare, you must be 65 or older, or have specific health conditions.
Florida Medicaid is the state’s Medicaid program, which is based on income levels — not age. You can be under 65 if you meet the income requirements.
Your Medicare agent will verify your eligibility for Medicaid before enrolling you in a Dual-eligible special needs plan.
